…the sourdough bread starter from Aunt Becky!
It was a dirty job, but somebody had to do it... :)
We forced ourselves to taste each batch of hot, fresh rolls, slathered with real butter, and both of us surprisingly preferred Aunt Becky’s.
It was a close race, though. PW’s rolls were clearly softer, but AB’s had that touch of yeast-y flavor that we love. And if they weren’t literally side by side, we might not have even been able to tell which was which. So, if I ever need rolls within 12 hours, now I know what recipe to use. Because, just like I’m sure it has happened to you, sometimes ya just have roll emergencies.
So now we know.
