Plum Fantasy Mallow Hibiscus

Well, September is upon us, and autumn is fast-approaching.

Soon all the leaves will drop
and the perennials will need to be trimmed as they die back,
preparing to sleep over the winter.

But I didn't want the summer to be over yet without sharing
a few photos of our favorite perennial, the Mallow Hibiscus.

I just love their plate-sized flowers and brilliant colors!

No matter where we live, I try to have these.

Along with the Crepe Myrtle trees,
their blooming in the heat of summer is so uplifting.

(How anything makes it in that heat is beyond me!)  :)

XOXO,
Lucky Dog
