From My Grandmother

When I was little,
my grandmother used to say this to me
when she tucked me in at bedtime.

I loved it and I loved her.

As I walked over the hill one day,
I listened, and heard a mother sheep say:

"In all the green world there's nothing so sweet
As my little lammie, with his nimble feet.

With his eyes so bright,
And his wool so white,
Oh, he is my darling, my heart's delight!"

  2. Hi CJ! Ya know, I googled it and got a few hits from some children's nursery or song books. But really, not many hits at all, considering the Internet. I have no idea how my grandmother knew it...
